late night shower

i hoped the water would fix my head
but it only wet the skin.
i googled for brain showers
but all i got was mindmaps.
the lingering stains linger on.
snap me out of this
drown my mind with
shafts of light.
only you.

clouds colour light. as we see only in part, then we will see in full. as we know only in part, then we will know in full, as we are fully known.

i am a squiggle on a palimpsest. a colour blurred by exposure. fingerprinted clay. a vapour longing for glory.

one ripple alone is nothing. but when it's part of an ocean, it has the potential to be a part of a beautiful story - reflecting the glory of the Son.

with eyes only partially opened, i cannot see this light clearly. but the magnificence of its reflections and refractions through my cluttered and distracted mind has captivated my heart. irrevocably.

ideas fascinate me. but in the end, they are only ideas. you cannot anchor your soul in a fleeting idea. no. you must anchor your soul in Truth.

are feet made for comfort? or are they made for going?

hope springs from the heart like water from the earth. in the most unexpected of places.

home is where your shoe rack is. i don't wear shoes. so i guess that means my home is not on earth. :)

glimpses of light in the darkness burn in my dull eyes. raise up a generation united for Your renown. ever, only, all for Thee.

grace has opened our eyes to truth, has brought us from death to life, has given us intimacy with our maker, and redemption from our depravity. this is the reality that we proclaim. that Jesus Christ is our risen saviour, mighty to save, and Lord of all.

never stagnant. always going. always still.

the skies proclaim the works of His hands. who am i that He should care to know my name? to seek me out and wash me in grace? the answer cannot be found in anything i am or have done. the answer is in who He is. oh, beautiful saviour.

a mother's plea

the day is fast approaching. there is a light more splendid than our eyes can understand coming for the heart who holds on. these hands are so frail, my grip slips and my resolve fails. hold me then, my deliverer. for Your glory's sake.
