mid-ride. rollercoaster. a really, really scary one. you're freaking out. your stomach is either relieving you of its contents or attempting to exit its bodily enclave as an entire organ via your throat.
but you know you're safe. you trust the bars and the metal and the ride attendant, if only because of their legal liability.
trumpets have sounded. jesus returns. the fire burning in his eyes and the whole earth vanishing and your eardrums bursting with the thunderous sounds of things you've never heard before and the holy presence of God absolutely freaking you out to the point that you're flat on your face and every particle of your body is trembling. but it isn't a malignant fear. all-comsuming, yeah. but the only thing filling your mind is Jesus. and how he is the most magnificent and ferocious and beautiful thing you have ever beheld. and how finally this day has come.
