Lies are insidious. They creep in, a whisper, a half-truth.
But then they take hold.
As they deepen, they get darker. Stronger. More sophisticated. More resistant to light. More aggressive towards truth.
They are children, born of the father of lies. They carry his agenda, and stink of his destructiveness.
I realised today that when I lie, however small and apparently insignificant, I am strengthening the cause of the one I hate so much.
No more.
Let me drive out darkness with light.
Let me drive out falsehood with truth.
Let truth reign.
And let that truth bring freedom.
