alighted the train at central. after walking in a very unnecessary and easily avoidable circle, we found the right bus stop and began to make progress. contrary to popular (slash jayde's) opinion, the stop at the other end was not "practically a roller coaster", despite the childlike entertainment its very smooth and circular path gave certain passengers.
adopting the call of our inner sheep, we slipped into the current pulling the droves of concert-goers, and found ourselves identifying with people we had nothing in common with apart from a rectangular slip of cardboard-esque paper with a barcode stamped on it.
well, actually, not really.
i for one was more focused on my broken havi's and delving into the deceitfulness of those hiding contraband picnic rugs and fantasizing about exposing them.
we promptly resolved to go thru the under 18 line after a speedy assessment of their comparative lengths. scared the guy at the check point with my cast in my bag. crashed at a good distance. then began the process of buying food. which was long and not hugely rewarding.
lyn and verity ran away and got stuck up the front, never to return. so meanwhile, jayde, jess, jamie and judd listened to jack johnson. chilled, and very relaxing. the stars winked back at us as we got high from the secondary smoke permeating the air around centennial park.
the exodus began, and they left apparently unchanged by jack's advocacy of environmental concern, as the field of cans and kebab sticks testified to. so we apologised to the bin man and then got our samaritan on: comandeered a garbage bag and proceeded to engage in the joys of bin juice, bacardi breezers and slush - possibly jayde's worst fear.
the bus wait was a fun process. then we waited for lyn verity and jamie to buy tickets whilst playing sherades from our seated position at the other side of the tunnel. jess' feet were caning from working all day. mine weren't fab either. the train involved much laughter (insane laughter) about toes and expressions and many other things of joy.
what a glorious occassion.
